  • 1990-1994: Clinical and laboratory research fellowships, at the Department of Autoimmune and Neuromuscular Disorders at the IRCCS FOUNDATION “CARLO BESTA” NEUROLOGICAL INSTITUTE (Milan), for studies of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases of peripheral nervous system such as autoimmune myasthenia gravis and autoimmune inflammatory myopathies
  • 1994: Specialization in Neurology, University of Pavia; specialization thesis on “Myopathy in Multiple acylcoenzyme-A dehydrogenase: clinical, biochemical and therapeutic aspects”
  • 1994 on: Employed as neurologist at the Neuroimmunology and Muscle Pathology Unit at IRCCS FOUNDATION “CARLO BESTA” NEUROLOGICAL INSTITUTE (Milan)
  • 2018 April on: Head, Multiple Sclerosis Centre in the same Foundation

Act as an expert clinician for in- and out-patients affected by neuroimmunological and neuromuscular disorders. 1995-2004 mainly involved in clinical and immunopathological studies in inflammatory myopathies and muscle diseases. Since 2006 mainly involved in clinical activities and research studies with Multiple Sclerosis patients, now as head of MS Centre.  Author of more than 80 full papers in impacted journal.
