Marco Sinisi

Biosketch

Dr Marco Sinisi graduated in medicine from the University of Milan, Italy. He completed his training in Neurosurgery at the Institute of Neurosurgery in Milan, first at the Ospedale Policlinico and then at the Istituto Neurologico Carlo Besta where in 2002 he was appointed as a Consultant and lead surgeon for the development of the treatment of surgical disorders of peripheral nerves.

In 2004, he was appointed as a Consultant Neurosurgeon to the Peripheral Nerve Injury Unit at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, London where since 2010 he is the Head of the Peripheral Nerve Injury Department.

Previously Honorary Senior Lecturer to Imperial College, today for University College of London.

Dr Sinisi’s special interests are in obstetric and adult brachial plexus lesions, nerve traumatic lesions tumours and reconstructive work after paralysis. A significant proportion of his work is from treatment of neuropathic pain due to nerve lesions.
